This country doesn’t work anymore.

Life keeps getting more expensive, public services keep getting worse and we’re all expected to work harder for less.

Most people can feel it, but we’re expected to carry on as if this is normal.

It isn’t.

This is a calm, lawful way for ordinary people to withdraw legitimacy from a failing system and show that authority comes from us - the public, not the government.

Why This Matters

You can’t persuade government to change, they do not listen and they will not care.

They change when circumstances leave them no choice.

Power does not respond to words, it responds to legitimacy.

As long as we keep playing along, keep pretending things are acceptable, keep behaving as if nothing is wrong, there is no real pressure to change.

That’s why individual frustration achieves very little, but collective non-compliance changes everything.

When enough people calmly withdraw consent, authority begins to hollow out. Not through chaos or violence, but through loss of legitimacy.

This is how non-violent change has always worked.

Why It Has to Be Collective

One person withdrawing consent is easy to ignore, millions doing it together is impossible.

History is consistent on this point: systems don’t reform because leaders suddenly see the light, they reform when they can no longer claim to speak for the country.

That moment only comes when enough people say, together: we no longer accept this as normal.

Why Now

We have exhausted all other options:

  • Asking has not worked.

  • Waiting has not worked.

  • Voting has not worked.

  • Hoping the next election fixes things has not worked.

The lives of ordinary people in our country are not improving and everything indicates things will continue to get worse.

History is not on the side of passive patience.

Every major peaceful correction happened when people stopped waiting for permission and started withdrawing consent, calmly, lawfully and together.

The choice is simple, either the country says, together:
“I No Longer Consent”

Or we wait again and hope again.

This is the moment to decide.

What can you do

This is how ordinary people withdraw consent calmly, lawfully, and together.

  • No shouting.

  • No violence.

  • No breaking the law.

Just collective non-compliance.

STEP 1 - SAY IT

First, make the truth visible.

Say this out loud, online or in everyday conversation:

  • “This country doesn’t work anymore.”

That’s enough. You don’t need to argue, you don’t need to explain and you don’t need to persuade anyone.

Language is where consent starts to break.

STEP 2 - DECLARE IT TOGETHER

Next, add your name to the declaration on this site.

You can sign:

  • Publicly,

  • or anonymously.

Why this matters:

  • One person withdrawing consent changes nothing

  • Millions doing it together changes everything

This is how collective legitimacy is measured.

STEP 3 - STOP PROPPING IT UP

You don’t have to keep pretending.

That means:

  • Stop defending things you know aren’t working

  • Stop repeating official excuses you don’t believe

  • Stop acting as if decline is normal or acceptable

You are not required to argue with anyone.

Quiet refusal to play along is powerful.

STEP 4 - USE SHARED LANGUAGE

Movements work when people speak in a similar way.

Use simple phrases:

  • “This country doesn’t work anymore.”

  • “I’ve stopped pretending the system is working.”

  • “Consent depends on results.”

Be consistent.

STEP 5 - JOIN WITH OTHERS

If there’s a local group, join it.

If there isn’t, start one.

If groups of your friends are all feeling the same, get together, discuss this and agree to remove consent. Small groups together in coffee shops or having a pint can produce meaningful change.

Groups are:

  • Small (10–30 people)

  • Calm

  • Non-partisan

  • Focused on discipline, not activism

Their purpose is trust, coordination and restraint.

No more left / right divide, they rely on us fighting each other. Stop fighting.

STEP 6 - DO NOTHING ELSE, FOR NOW

This matters.

Do not:

  • Break the law

  • Harass officials

  • Stop paying taxes

  • Block roads

  • Seek confrontation

  • Act alone

Uncoordinated action weakens collective power.

Discipline is strength.

When Does This Become Mass Non-Compliance?

Right now, this is about withdrawing legitimacy, not disruption.

Mass non-compliance only works when:

  • Enough people have declared together

  • The language is widespread

  • The movement is disciplined

  • Actions are coordinated and lawful

When that point is reached, the next steps will be published clearly and taken together.

  • No surprises.

  • No individual heroes.

  • No chaos.

Why This Works

  • Governments can ignore complaints.

  • They can ignore petitions.

  • They can ignore individual anger.

They cannot govern effectively once millions withdraw consent and stop lending legitimacy to their failure.

Legitimacy fails when consent is withdrawn at scale.

One person can be ignored. Millions cannot.

THIS is our choice…

Either:

  • We act together, calmly and lawfully and remind those in power where authority comes from.

Or:

  • We wait for another election, hope again and watch things continue to decline.

History is not on the side of waiting.
